AIRPLANE RENTALS Sunair Aviation aircraft are available for flight training, building flight time, or for those fun cross country trips with your friends and loved ones. How about a weekend get away to Key West or any of a number of local (and not so local) vacation or holiday locations? Pilots need to have approval from a Sunair instructor prior to renting an airplane on their own. To obtain an approval will require a current medical, appropriate pilot certificate & endorsements for the type of plane you wish to fly, and a check ride. Renters must also agree to be liable for the first $1,000.00 of any damages due to an accident or incident for the non-complex single engine airplanes. The liability is $2,500.00 for the Piper Arrow and $5,000.00 for the Beech Duchess. You will find our instructors friendly and helpful. Our aim is to insure your familiarity and safety with each type of aircraft. Solo rental of the Duchess also has minimum requirements for flight experience of 500 hours total time and 25 hours in make and model. Renters are expected to read and understand our rental agreement. The rental agreement is to be signed prior to any rental to show that the terms have been read and understood. A copy of the signed agreement will be provided to the renter. Execution of the signed agreement is only required once. Aircraft rental agreement
(PDF) All of our airplanes are equipped with intercoms. Headsets are not included in the aircraft rental but they are available for $2 per day. All rates are by the hour and include fuel & oil. State & local sales tax is not included. Sunair has flexible policies regarding minimum daily charges for the use of its airplanes. Call or email us for additional details. AIRPLANE RIDES Sunair aircraft and instructors are also available for aircraft rides. How about a special birthday or anniversary present for someone who has always wanted to fly? You can find your own home, your old neighborhood, or just see the greater Orlando area from the air. Disney World is just minutes away. Perhaps you would like to take some aerial photographs of your home or business. Ride rates are the same as for renting an aircraft with a flight instructor (aircraft rental fee + $40 per hour for the pilot) and you can decide what you would like to do. Call or email us for specific details and plans. Reserve you ride well in advance to insure the availability of the pilot and aircraft. All flights are subject to weather conditions but there is no cancellation charge for rides that cannot be held due to poor weather.
