Overview of the Redbird FMX Simulator
The Redbird FMX is a high-quality, feature-rich motion AATD. Wrap-around visuals, a fully enclosed cockpit, reconfigurable construction, and of course a motion platform, the FMX serves up a level of realism that is simply unavailable in other training devices on the market. SunAir Aviation's FMX is configured for a Cessna 172 with standard istrumentation, Garmin GNS 530, and Garmin GNS 430.
Logging FMX simulator hours
- 2.5 Hours Private Pilot Certificate
- 20 Hours Instrument Rating
- 50 Hours Commercial Pilot Certificate
- 25 Hours Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- Instrument Currency
- All task for the IPC(except Circling Approach)can be done in AATD
Benefits of the FMX Simualtor
Unfortunately flying an airplane is not without risk so it is essential that pilots of all levels are ready and prepared for any situation that may take place and it is a lot safer to rehearse emergency situation in a Redbird FMX Flight Simulator than an actual aircraft. When a pilot is exposed to a wide variety of emergency situations in a FMX flight simulator the pilot will know what to do and hopefully will learn how to be calm under pressure.
